Sensuality:

Namaste Loves!

This photo has been making its rounds in the blogging and social media world. It screams "FEMINIST"!!! I absolutely adore this passage because of all it stands for. Sex and women are definitely double standards in our world today. Women should be innocent, virgins, docile, angelic, boring.... the list goes on. I mean we all have experienced the double standards and the judgement of women who embrace their sexuality. Look at all the shit Rihanna gets because she not only embraces her clitoris, she loves to share with the world about sex.

First, let me say I LOVE SEX, however I have chosen to be celibate. Not because of what society thinks I should be, or religion, or politics, but rather life is less complicated without sex.... for me. Doesn't mean I won't ever have sex again, I am just waiting to give these goodies (and they are goodies) to someone who deserves it. Maybe I will wait till I am married (again not because of a social norm) maybe I will wait until I get Joe Mangienello.....

I think it is important for women to embrace their clitoris. Men are always dick slapping and dick measuring, shit why can't I talk about my clit. It is more powerful than a penis, it does a lot more than a penis, so why can't I be proud of it. Shit, empires have fought wars over it. It's powerful. How can we as a society move pass these double standards and begin to accept one another as we are as individuals. Let go of the pre-conceived notions, and judgments.

Women as sexual beings is NOT TABOO. I'm a sexual being, my mother is a sexual being, my cousins are sexual beings, my ancestors are sexual beings, and my spirit guides are sexual beings. Even in my mothers country of Haiti, the Voodoo religion contains Lwa's who are sexual being (Erzuli).

I hope you all enjoyed, please share and comment!
